Spread the love

May is Lupus Awareness Month, and it’s time we bring this invisible illness into the light. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease, which means the immune system—designed to protect you—starts attacking your body’s own tissues and organs. It can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and more.

What makes Lupus especially challenging is that it looks different in every person. Some may experience extreme fatigue, joint pain, or rashes, while others may suffer from internal organ damage or brain fog.

The fight with Lupus isn’t always visible, but it is very real. Many of us battle symptoms while still trying to show up for our families, our jobs, and our lives.

Let’s uplift one another with compassion and awareness this month.
