Lupus isn’t one-size-fits-all. There are four primary types, and understanding them helps us support those affected:
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE): The most common and severe type, affecting many parts of the body including the joints, kidneys, and heart.
Discoid Lupus (Cutaneous Lupus): Causes chronic skin rashes, often in circular shapes.
Drug-Induced Lupus: Triggered by certain medications and usually goes away when the drug is stopped.
Neonatal Lupus: A rare condition in infants, passed from mothers with specific antibodies.
No matter the type, lupus requires awareness, compassion, and support. Learning the signs can save lives. #TypesOfLupus #LupusAwareness #ChronicIllnessEducation
